DISCUSSION: To Plot and Beyond

Hey guys, your resident mods here with a... not quite a full-out discussion post, but we'd like to get some ideas and points of note out there and your feedback on the matter. Particularly involving the latest plot and currently running plotlines. There have been a few discussions on plurk, but we'd like to have something more formal to make sure everyone has the opportunity to read and get their input on things that'll affect them.

There's a few things we'd like to touch upon with this post, the main points revolving around current/past/future plots and how we as mods can make things more fun for you in the way we handle them. Also on our agenda are things like State of the Game, God Functions, Player Accessibility, and probably more. To keep things organized, we'll be using header comments to cover specific topics and linking them in the post for easy navigation, so once you see a topic linked here, feel free to jump right to it.

CURRENT PLOTS: Moving HQ | Bitey Dogs | Weres

Hmm, OK so I'm not reading to carefully and I hope I don't get something here wrong. I think there are ways we can work within the confines of "gods are a reflection of humanity" but still give... mm. Tangible results? Especially with home SMALL "humanity" is now and that they are facing humans with powers and experiences totally outside of the Thusian gods' knowledge. Even though these gods can be thousands and thousands of years old, they are still in circumstances that are entirely new to their existence! I think it would be totally reasonable for them to be quite a bit more responsive and mutable than they normally would have. I think the circumstances of the RP can enable ALL KIDS of shenanigans.

I mean basically like. I think if the Powers That Be wanted to, you could really justify just about any direction you take god changing and god powers in, and have it be quite reasonable.

I do agree that the way society/civilization is right now, it allows for a lot more flexibility in what shapes/alters a god, as compared to before when there were so many perceptions gods kind of had to mold to the general one. It wasn't an avenue we were really aware of, and I believe most god players were kind of worried about having to active reflect what OTHER people thought of their gods and only that, and because of that couldn't develop their god at all. By giving the god players different potential ways to be affected and non-god players different ways to affect, it seems pretty win-win??

YEAH LIKE THERE IS SUPER POTENTIAL

But yeah like too much potential and then you just have a... "but what I do :V"

I think it would maybe be cool to come up with a few like. Hum. Templates, maybe? For way god players can choose to have things go down? If they plan to have things go down? Like, I know some players DID NOT go into this intending to have their gods be dynamic characters and I think that's fine too, I should say '^'!!!

I think if we end up going with this multioption thing, we'll probably make an edit to one of the god docs giving examples of ways they can go about changing or not changing their god.
