Hey guys, your resident mods here with a... not quite a full-out discussion post, but we'd like to get some ideas and points of note out there and your feedback on the matter. Particularly involving the latest plot and currently running plotlines. There have been a few discussions on plurk, but we'd like to have something more formal to make sure everyone has the opportunity to read and get their input on things that'll affect them.

There's a few things we'd like to touch upon with this post, the main points revolving around current/past/future plots and how we as mods can make things more fun for you in the way we handle them. Also on our agenda are things like State of the Game, God Functions, Player Accessibility, and probably more. To keep things organized, we'll be using header comments to cover specific topics and linking them in the post for easy navigation, so once you see a topic linked here, feel free to jump right to it.

Another currently running plotline is the continued presence and danger of weres tripping out in publicly accessible areas and also eating people sometime. Lady gave a summary of her were's activities here but if other were players could pop in to drop a SO THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN DOING we'd greatly appreciate it! Also any players who have interacted with weres and are doing/interested in doing some sort of 'SO UH. ABOUT THAT' thing are also encouraged to comment here!

The main concern of the weres currently, and do correct us if we are wrong, is that they are running around pretty wildly and unchecked. They'd actually love for more people to get involved/react in ways other than just being eaten/mauled.

ROBIN IS ACTUALLY BECOMING RATHER CONCERNED ABOUT WERES, that seems to be a Problem she would like to address. Were kids can I get all up in your business?

I assume this is referring to Weres she is currently aware of so I'll leave it to them to field (and go back to my homework for real).

While I am cool with Shades sort of chastising the Weres and doing like... community service punishment or something, since their gods have history together and they cross over a little bit in the shadow domain (Kengo especially), I'd prefer if there wasn't some serious Were hunt (if that's what someone wants to do) until after I have a chance to really try to maim anyone besides Darc.

I AM TRYING TO BE ON HIATUS ALSO so I wouldn't get to be really involved until after the 14th of December....

When I do get a chance to berserk out, I do want to ping a Shade to do A Thing, though. I promise it's a helpful thing.

ER, BASICALLY WHAT I MEAN IS I haven't had a chance to get more charas personally invested in Kengo wigging out yet, so I'd like a chance to do that before anyone really takes action against him specifically.

NOT REALLY SPEAKING FOR OTHER WERES since they each sort of have their own stuff going on which may or may not all roll together into one big thing.

I was horribly enabled to toss out my future were!plot ideas. For those who haven't really looked at the Ygin's priest post carefully or never really read over the effects on weres - one of their main functions is to protect the headquarters because they will always attack nature first, and instantly change during strong nature events. They're only unstable before they hit the third and final stage of their priesting.

And well, I think it'll help for Leo to share his experience with the weres who have not hit that stage yet. I'll probably consider taking a were policing route with him, sort of like a guard cat. Where Selyir's shades are information, I always picture Ygin's weres as unintentional SWAT. XD

And my internet is constantly crapping out tonight, so I'll get back to this when I think it works.

I am up for inquiries too.

Seeing as I have both a Shade and a Were, I've always been kind of curious what sort of effects a Shade could have on Weres. Like, I've decided some for Kengo just because of his own nature, but since Shadow was once Ygin's domain I've been curious about how that could interact, especially now that there's some movement toward having Shades and Weres bounce off each other.

I'm up for anything. If the Shades want to be able to calm a rampaging were, we can work in a mechanic, or even temporary control. Or teleport them into nature. Or cover them in nice comforting darkness there there sshhhh calm down and think of mamahorror.

I will work with literally anything.

On the other hand, if the Shades want to be balancing factors for Weres, what would the Shades think about Were's being potentially UNBALANCING for them?

But no, in general, Shades are people who are arrangers and doers, protectors who like a nice controlled environment.

Well, yes, of course.

It would throw an interesting element to things, especially since I know Shades are interested in playing them out like a special secret ops ninja police force thing.

Okay less distracted now but gosh 8') Any way things on this get played out sounds like it would be WAY FUN to play with. I like all proposed options as possibilities.

Ten here! Due to misunderstandings, I'd been keeping Selyir and shades pretty far away from the weres but I've gotten some encouragement by were players that they'd like it if shades were taking a more active role. Currently, Selyir's running pretty understaffed and was only recently informed of the matter, but will be monitoring the situation personally! So any activities occurring in public areas will be noticed from... Day 96 afternoon and on!

Essentially, if a were flips out and is acting actively aggressive toward an innocent (as opposed to someone who was like YEAAH I'M GONNA STAB YOU), there is a heavy chance Selyir will step in! I will try my best to keep an eye out for any were posts, but if there's a thread where you'd like interference, I am free to bump and be pointed toward the thread! I would really like this to happen at some point, just to kind of alert the weres either on an individual or group level that something is watching them.

Yayoi's player here! So far the latest post I've done with her is the first she's been level 2 (which is the potentially berserked stage). So far she's bitten Syaoran which got intervened on, and is mid-thread being defensively threatening with Isabella. :|a Which will probably escalate later?? I am gonna tap the player later tonight to see where that'll go.

Yayoi herself is fiercely protective of the were even knowing they can be dangerous since, as far as she knows, they've only attacked in reaction to aggressive behavior. :') THIS MAY BE WRONG I have flaked on keeping tabs OOCly, but either way that's what Yayoi ICly knows and is dealing with.

Also I am always open to anyone ever wanting to deal with Yayoi either normally or in were form whether priest or nonpriest or even god. So yeah, come at me bros :Db

Kida has only transformed in a dangerous way once, but he did a post with his wings out and talked to a bunch of people, and he is generally not hiding the fact that he is a were, so anyone is welcome to know. He's only berserked once tho.
