❧ FREEDOM FROM TYRANNY!! Actually we're just trading out a tyrant for a Big Brother. Basically, the pacing of Thusia is always changing, and it's evident by the AC policy having to be adjusted all the time that having a specific comment count limit isn't flexible enough, SO we'll just be getting rid of comment count ACs all together 8D. Instead, mods will be keeping an eye on tag usage and checking to make sure characters are threading at least once a month. There won't be specific monthly AC turn-ins anymore! But if it seems like a character isn't getting out at all when we check posts or tags we'll likely give the player in question a tap to see what's up.

❧ We will also be switching to a 2/3rds majority agreement for important decisions and administration stuff since we agree that it would be more effective for us as a team to operate that way. IMPORTANT POLICIES
❧ Since it's been more than a couple months since Thusian OCs were introduced as an app option and not much has actually been done with it, we're going to retract that option for now and keep in on the backburner. People specifically interested in apping Thusian (human or human-originating) OCs may still consider it a possibility in the indeterminate future, but for now we want to focus on enriching the world as it is and revisit the idea again later once we have established Thusia's overarching plots.

❧ REHAULING OF GOD STUFF WILL START HAPPENING IN EARNEST WITHIN THE COMING WEEK. One thing we'd like to do RIGHT NOW is to move threads OFF the shrine pages and back to the main comm! This is in large part because playing out trades with gods has dropped off since the beginning of the game, so the purpose of active gods will be changing overall. That means we'd like players to get into the habit of leaving a link on the shrine/contact pages when you need a god in your thread for any reason! You can still negotiate trades if you like! And threads can still ICly take place at the shrine, but OOCly we would like to move the gods' threading back to the main comm as part of a larger shift to come!

❧ It was brought up that we needed another person to officially help out around here and after MUCH THOUGHT, Link and Ikki have pulled in a third person to join the official mod team! Please welcome Jeva as your third mod! WE SHALL CALL HER TRI-MOD. Treat her well!

❧ BOXY WAS A FUCKIN' CHAMP AND RAN A THING FULL OF AWESOME WITH ONLY TWO HOUR'S NOTICE AND YOU SHOULD GO CHECK IT OUT. THANK YOU BOXY!!! Here are the results of that adventure!!

❧ Sair will be running another explore sometime between now and May 4th with Albinia! Please, check out her event notice and give her feedback on when you'd like this event to occur.

❧ Ur'ghaste's IC Anon Confessions post can also still be backtagged by those who are feeling it! There is also an OOC Reveals Post up for those who are ready to spill about what their charas were up to in there.

❧ ALSO, thank you to everyone who participated in the God-chat! The logs have been collected and we will try to have the log and a summary posted sometime in the coming week for those who didn't make the chat! We've already taken some suggestions from it, but for those interested in playing Gods or doing Thusia plots from the runner side of things, if there's anything you really want to add or anything you really object to, please let us know once that stuff is up for you to peruse.

MOD NEWS
❧ Ponta/Ikki is officially a co-mod from now on! Her duties remain much the same for the moment, but she now has access to all the mod accounts and game docs.

❧ April is end-of-the-semester final-projects month, so the mod team's availability may start to get spotty toward the end of the month BUT we will try to take care of as much business as possible so there are still things to do, and we will definitely be back FULL FORCE in May, so worry not!

❧ Anyone who died and needed to be revived during the alignment switch event should give Ceesoo a tap. For reasons.


EVENTS
❧ There will be a couple special posts next week, including an intro post for those participating in the app experiment. Keep an eye out!

❧ There will be a God-chat on the 13th, from 5-6pm CST (4-5pm EST). A log will be posted afterwards and topics covered will be open to discuss for those that didn't make the chat. All players welcome!

❧ Those who offered or were thinking of offering to help run one-off nature explorations from last announcement, we will be postponing work on that until May when mods can really be around to help out. We will call for volunteers again when we're ready. In the meantime, consider what sorts of things would be cool for charas to have, or places that you'd like to set up posts even after the explorations are run. We have suggestions, of course, but we want to save them for when actual brainstorming occurs to preserve surprise for participants.


BONUS ACTIVITY CHALLENGE
❧ The challenge AC for April will be a minimum of 70 comments across a max of 6 threads, and your character must interact with at least 4 different characters across those threads. There is no minimum number of posts so these threads could all be in the same post as long as you interact with 4 different characters in the final count.

Again, this is not required for April, it is a goal to meet in order to get a bonus pass before normal AC kicks in again in May. It is absolutely OK if you don't make this goal, it is meant to be a bit challenging. Those not doing the challenge would just be required to check in when April AC goes up.


POLICIES
❧ Starting after next week, app-response emails will only be sent out on Friday every week. A group intro post will go up Friday evenings if more than one character was accepted, though players are also allowed to make their own intro-posts if desired. This is to encourage a schedule so players know when new characters will be arriving. Apps may still be submitted any time during the week, but Friday evening CST will be the cut-off time. Apps sent Saturday will receive a response the following Friday.

❧ About thirds! Although I (Ceesoo) had put this change in place just as we were starting the transition from old mod team to new mod team, it was recently brought to my attention that I'd forgotten to announce that we will no longer be accepting third versions of characters into the game except in a specific circumstance. This is because it hasn't been something in great demand and it is an extra step of list-keeping that would be easier for us to do without. Apologies to those who may have been inconvenienced by this policy change!

From now on, the only time we will allow thirds is if the third is a character that had previously good-ended and they have decided to reapp. As a reward for meeting the good-end requirements, they are afforded a slot, even if there are already doubles of that character. (More versions than that trying to reapp from good-ends would be case-by-case).

❧ If you are thinking of apping a new arrival to Thusia sometime soonish and would like to be part of An Experiment~, shoot an email to thusia.mods@gmail.com with your name/handle and the character you want to app! We'd like to chat~! This offer is also open to people who don't have an active chara in Thusia yet. Those who express interest before next Wednesday (the 27th) will probably get a bit of extra attention while Ceesoo has the time. (This is a different thing from the Greeters thing that was mentioned in last week's discussions).


EVENTS
❧ I am looking for at least 4-6 runners/world-builders to design some explorations to be posted over the next month or so. Volunteers who are interested in running a one-off event and either know some of the world history or don't mind getting familiar with it and adding to it will be asked to help come up with Things to discover in an area in the current setting. Please comment in this post if you'd like to help out.

Ideally I will have enough people so that I can divide you up and assign a couple runners to each area. This way, runners will still be able to participate in discovering stuff in a different area when it isn't their turn to run stuff.

PLAYER HAPPENINGS
❧ Reminder that Ikki will be holding a game-wide chat for players on the 16th (this Saturday) at around 7-8 EST on IRC (channel name TBD). This will be for talking about the state of the game, hopes and dreams for the future, giving suggestions, and whatever else becomes relevant to making Thusia a more enjoyable RP experience. Logs and a summary will be posted on the OOC comm afterwards for people who couldn't make it. If your thoughts or topics of your interest weren't covered in the IRC discussion feel free to bring those up for further examination in the summary post.

HOUSEKEEPING
❧ While we are still getting set up with general info about Good Ends, as of this announcement they are now available as as drop option to any charas who have been in Thusia for 6 OOC months or more. Here is the general info available about Good-Ends so far. Until things are properly set up, just drop an email in the modbox if you'd like to good-end and we'll work out the details from there.

The official Thusia Good-End musebox is called eudaemonia.

❧ We are in the process of moving and updating the links on the info pages found on the network sidebar. There may not be too many detectable changes from the player side yet but any entries where the subject header is prefixed with "[moved]" will shortly become out of date, so if you see pages linking to any entries like that, know that it will be fixed soon.

❧ Just reminding everyone about the existence of Thusia's Calendar, which is both linked on the sidebar and embedded in every Event Summary posts under a cut. All gods should have access to the calendar in order to add events (click the tiny "+ Google calendar" button in the bottom right corner to edit it).

ACTIVITY
❧ Hey friends! A reminder that Activity Check is going up at the end of the week, between Thursday and Friday!

GODS
❧ As of this announcement, ICly, with Ygin's drop, its shrines sloughed off the walls and disappeared and it will no longer be responding to anyone, including the Were. The Weres' powers are unaffected and they may be able to feel it watching at night, but it doesn't answer them even if they try to talk to it.

MOD HAPPENINGS
❧ Thusia's mod team is currently looking for help, both long and short term. While it is our eventual hope that we can ask some of those who are interested to become official co-mods, right now our main focus is looking for people who want to invigorate the game and are ready to work to make that happen, or anyone who would be interested in helping design and update Thusia's many changing environmental info pages. If you're interested in helping out even just for a couple months, you can send us an e-mail at the mod account, thusia.mods@gmail.com, or just tap one of us on Plurk or IRC.

❧ And in junction with the above announcement, the mod team has been undergoing a restructuring and Ten and Aviy have both decided to make the eventual transition into stepping down as mods, with Ceesoo staying on as a full mod. They'll be around to help support Ceesoo and situate any potential new co-mods into their roles, but once the torch has been properly handed off they'll be stepping down from their roles as mods and shift to being background support, occasional sounding boards, and otherwise regular players.

❧ There's a last thing related to setting up a system for interested players to help design/run over-arching Thusia plots in pairs/teams, in timeslots of varying lengths, but we'll probably solicit thoughts on that semi-unofficially first before we make more concrete announcements on that.

HOUSEKEEPING
❧ The nature pages have been updated with a starter list of flora and fauna for our current setting! Check them out via the Nature page also linked on the sidebar. They can also be reached via the settings pages. We will eventually have a page up where people can make proposals for new organisms to be added.
